I herewth Inclose an Accott of Mony of the Kings recd from Captt
Shadrach Walton as he was Captt of his Majtys fourtt William
& Mary; & how the same disposed of for his Majtys Service doubtt
nott of allowance of sd Accott if nott the Mony shall be repaid
though I have Spentt a Good Estate & good partt of my time in
the Kings Service I judge noe reason to be att the charge in
Exspences for Sending persons to England (to render an accott
of the Govermtt ) outt of my own Estate

The Govermtt in Mr Hincks time of rebellion hath raised &
recd the vallew of 1200£ hope care will be taken to
call them to Accott if I miss itt nott raiseing of Mony wth outt Legall Authority
is high Treason.

The Sparkes have had rope enough given them the conse
quentt partt onely remaines.

I never heard how Mr partridge pastt his former Accotts wch if
nott paste hope is nott to late.

My Sheriff for Attending on me to putt the ordrs from White
Hall in Execution was by Mr partridge putt into a Messengers
hand Twenty foure hours; & then giveing bond wth Security
of two hundered pounds for the good behavior was Sett att
liberty: Coll Thomas packer & Major Jos Smith, ordering
the Malicia to be in Armes; by virtue of a warrantt from
my selfe; for the solemnity in publishing the proclama
tion for the peace was by Sumons from Mr partridge to
Apear before him & Councill, when Apeared charged for
disturbing of the peace in truth noe liveing in these partts
if some be nott made examples for Terror to others. crave
Exscuse for my prolixity haveing noe other ways to re
presentt the true State of mattrs . if any be sentt for to
England & proper to have any make good the charges mustt
recomend Major Smith & if he Should goe mustt be att
the Kings charge, he nott being a person of a greatt Estate.
